Red's culinary background has taught us to use every part possible of the groceries we buy. Remember those seeds you saved from making your pumpkin pie whiskey? Yeah, we're gonna make those into a nice and tasty snack to complement your cocktail or pumpkin beer. I used Cajun seasoning because it was the first spice I saw in the cupboard, but you can swap in Old Bay, BBQ rub, cayenne pepper, or just plain old sea salt and still have a winner. --Brown

1  Cup pumpkin seeds

1  Tablespoon butter

2  Teaspoon Jack Miller's Cajun all-purpose seasoning

 

Preheat your oven to 300°F

Rinse the pumpkin guts off your seeds and place them on a paper towel to dry.

In a small cup or ramekin melt the butter in the microwave. Place the seeds in a mixing bowl and toss them in the butter and seasoning.

Place the coated seeds on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven for 35 minutes for optimal crunchiness.
