Yes, it's December. We're not sure how either, but we're not complaining. We've watched the Rockettes kick the season into gear, put up our decorations, made our Christmas lists, and baked our fruitcakes (yes, we both un-ironically love fruitcake). Holiday gatherings with friends and family are one of our favorite parts of the year--let's be honest, any excuse to throw a party is fine by us--and they remind us how lucky we are to be surrounded by such great people. Take time this year to think of those that may be less fortunate and try to do a good turn. Maybe you've got an old coat you can donate (New York Cares has a coat drive now through February), or some extra food or baked goods to share with an elderly neighbor. You'd be surprised how easy it is to bring a little joy to others. Check back this month for plenty of joyous posts, including our first annual gift guide, plenty of holiday cocktails, and some DIY standbys. --Red and Brown
