We just love rosemary, and in this case it's a really simple way to add some earthy, piney goodness to any situation. It works as well with lighter spirits as it does as an add-in to some seltzer for a little holiday pick-me-up.
1 Cup sugar 1 Cup water 3 sprigs rosemary
In a medium pan, stir the sugar and water together. Place it over high heat and add the rosemary, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
Take the syrup off the heat and pour it into a glass jar (try not to use plastic so the flavors don't leech). Let it come to room temperature, then cover and store in the fridge for up to a month.
